ComicWave for webtoon creators
Set up a vertical episode
In Story to Comic, choose “Webtoon scroll” as the output format and “Vertical” under “More settings” › “Reading direction”. Webtoon pages are 1350 × 2400 px. Fast Comic also offers a five-panel “Webtoon scene” under “More formats”, and Blank Studio’s “Webtoon scroll” canvas starts at 800 × 6000 px for building a page by hand.
Keep a series consistent
Lock your main characters in Cast so each episode draws from their Must match references. A new episode in a series reuses the project’s approved cast, world and style. Plans limit how many characters you can keep: 2 on Free, 10 on Starter, 50 on Creator and unlimited on Studio.
Spacing and edits
Set the gap between panels in Studio with FRAME › “Gutter” (0–200) and “Apply frame”; the gap between pages is chosen when you export. On editable pages, bubbles, captions, sound effects, tails, panel crops and frames stay editable after drawing. Flat AI-rendered pages carry their words inside the image and can’t be edited.
Export chunks for upload
The Webtoon export stacks your pages and cuts them into chunks that avoid panels and lettering. Presets cover WEBTOON Canvas (800 px wide, 1,280 px chunks), Tapas (940 px, 1,600 px), Lezhin (720 px, 1,280 px) and Naver Series (690 px, 1,600 px), and you can download the long image, the chunks or both. Webtoon export is part of Starter and higher. The app has no phone-width reading preview yet, so check the downloaded chunks on a phone before you post.
Publishing and rights
ComicWave doesn’t upload to webtoon platforms: download the files and post them yourself, following each platform’s current rules. Under the current terms you keep your rights in what you submit, ComicWave doesn’t claim ownership of generated output, and you are responsible for any rights needed to publish. Upload only material you’re entitled to use; accounts that repeatedly infringe rights may be restricted.
Plan limits
Free includes 1 project, 2 characters and 1 GB of storage. Starter includes 5 projects, 10 characters and 5 GB; Creator unlimited projects, 50 characters and 25 GB; and Studio unlimited projects and characters with 100 GB.
